She is known as the avatar girl, twitter’s friendliest tweep and the blip girl. She is @mistygirlph. Personally I call her my BFF, a funny design girl and a co-writer at BitRebels.com. Starbucks lover, a self proclaimed twitterholic and a blogger at heart. She is one that I can most relate to in terms of advertising, digital and design related topics. Always cheerful and chatty. But if you look closely at some of her work, you can see that there is something more to her than just fun and laughter.

You have an impressive amount of writing each week, how do you prepare the info and do your research?
I love surfing the net for information. I look for interesting subjects that I feel the readers of bitRebels will enjoy. When I see something cool i research more about it and start to build my story on the information I collated. When I’m satisfied with the content, then I write it. Research is very important to me, its the backbone of every piece i write.
What is your background/work experience?
My work experience is varied. I started as an AE worked in a production house, where i learned to produce commercials and avps. After which i was asked to join a TV production outfit that produced the best sports and entertainment programs in my country. I became a producer and then EP handling PBA,NBA and other sports. Joined Leo Burnett Manila in 2002 to 2007 as Project Manager for Events. At present I work as a Digital Activations Director for BBDO/Proximity Philippines.
What and who inspires you?
Music inspires me. Makes me think more clearly. It’s my family that truly inspires me. My mom, my sister and my younger brother.
Mac or PC? and why?
Mac – my first computer was a Machintosh “Lisa” and ever since I can remember I have always been an Apple fan. Found it much easier and simpler to use.
Who was the first person you followed on twitter
We were asked to join twitter in 2007 and at first tweeted only with my officemates. Got bored because I didn’t see the value of Twitter yet. So officially the first one I followed was @mashable and the first one I really converesed with was @mayhemstudios.
Where will Misty be in 3 years from now?
Hmm hard question to asnwer as I feel that I am at a point where I am starting a new field with my career, that is digital. I’m a risk taker, I am usually one that takes calculated ones. I never just stick to one dream. There is so much still that I want to learn and experience. 2 things are sure though, in three years I know I will be writing and designing more.
Favorite Music/Artist?
I don’t really have a particular favorite. I listen to what my mood dictates. I like all genre. Now Im really enjoying John Mayer’s music. I find his songs soothing and lyrics to his songs really powerful. On occasions though I still love listening to 80’s 90’s classics.
What is in your bag?
I have 2 bags, i bring with me at all times. I carry all sorts of gadgets and gizmos. My cellphone, my ipod touch are a must. I always carry my moleskine notebook and my wide array of pens and mechanical pencils, just in case inspiration hits me. My computer and my internet portable broadband is in another bigger bag with all the wiring and portable speakers (isound and my burger speaker) and of course my hi def headphones.
Offline activities? What gives you that extra kick/rush?
I play badminton when I can. I am very competitive. I also love reading Stephen King and Ann Rice Novels. I like fashion and I love dressing up. So shopping is in my must weekend to do list. I most definitely love going to the coffee shop, drink my favorite hazel nutt latte and just watch people go by.
